The community we serve is small but definitely growing, as are their needs. So, while planning our future and how to continue to serve them best, the most logical and highly requested step was to provide services for Small Businesses in our area. Our members asked, so we delivered, and after months of research, we decided the best course of action for our Credit Union was to partner with Ken and CU Evolution.
We started this venture almost a year ago, and in that time, I have learned an enormous amount from Ken. From the very basics of opening business accounts and the required documentation. All the way to the business lending side of things and how to network with potential and existing members to grow our business portfolio.
I can tell you I am a firm believer in “That you learn something new every day” and Ken has a wealth of knowledge and experience that has been invaluable to us and has made this this past year incredibly successful for Walker County Federal Credit Union. Ken is 1994 graduate of Texas Tech University with a BBA in Finance. He has 27 years of experience in commercial banking with experience ranging from small local financial institutions to large national banks, experience as a regulator, and ran a company that brokered commercial and real estate loans from 2008-2011. Previously served as Chief Risk Officer overseeing the Commercial/Business/and Real Estate portfolios for Life FCU located in Cross Roads, TX and Family 1st of Texas FCU located in Fort Worth, TX.

With almost a decade of experience, Abi has fulfilled many roles at a handful of Banks and Credit Unions. She began her career as a contact center representative, then moved to a branch setting where she working as a teller, vault attendant, member relationship representative, and member relationship officer. Next she moved to the lending department working as a financial services representative, then as a senior financial services representative in the internet branch before moving back to the lending department as a loan officer, Title clerk, and Lending project coordinator. Within CU Evolution, she uses her previous experience to help with the day-to-day operations and the various projects within the company.
